Baltic Birch.

Walnut and maple. Each square is 1.5" by 1.5" so the total playing area is 12" by 12". The edge

is also walnut.

I made a chessboard from walnut and maple. Each square is 2" by 2" so the total playing area is

16" by 16. The edge is made of wenge (wood).
